California Consumer Protection Act (CCPA) and General data protection regulation (GDPR) has caused many organizations to consider the rise of data subjects to allow them to be more in control of their data and more transparent about the processing of personal information they collect and/or share.

The big change is around accountability which means to go beyond mere compliance.

This presentation will examine the ways organizations are allocating responsibilities, building internal policies, and solving design challenges for emerging problems. We will also review new principles like privacy by design and privacy by default.
